Isle of Wight Internet Trolls Slag off Many on Twitter

Groups of teenagers have recently set up twitter accounts aimed at providing private and false information about teenagers on the Island. The sites, going under the names of @iow_banter @iowbants2013, @iowbantsryde and @iowbantsmedina have generated over 1000 followers in total and continue to grow. The tweets are mainly focused at students from Ryde and Sandown Bay Academy as well as Medina College students. 

Although some of the content is fairly private, the response to the page has been a welcomed one, with people helping to run the page by emailing in information whether it be true or false to the creators. However previous pages of the trolls called @iowburn and @iowbanter2013 have recently been suspended due to its offensive nature.

So, if you're a teenager reading this who's done something embarrassing, don't be surprised if you see your name appear on one of these pages, people find out quickly. Such a small Island.
