A woman this evening has had a rather mucky experience after becoming trapped in mud up to her waist, requiring fire crews with specialist mud rescue equipment as well as the coastguard rescue team to free the temporarily legless woman. This is nothing new to the Island, many people who have been to the Isle of Wight festival will have experience drowning in mud, although I suppose that's a lot better than having to listen to Bruce Springsteen.The incident happened shortly after 18:00 near to Totland Pier,West Wight. Potential new location for the festival? I think so.
